How we got started

I always loved flowers especially cut flowers that you could cut and bring in and arrange in a vase for a centerpiece on the table, so with lots of zinnias, a few gladiolus and rudbeckia and with a family of mostly girls my windowsills were lined with handmade bouquets by my beautiful daughters.

In 2014 we had the opportunity to buy Steve’s home farm just outside the little town of Rosebush. In 2016 the idea was born to try and sell a few bouquets at the local farm market in Rosebush. So with small bud vases a few small bouquets were arranged and set it the counter at the Rosebush Farm Market and believe it or not they sold! Thank you customers!!? Because of you we have been expanding every year.

We have so many favorites here at Rose Lane. We all get so excited when our first tulips and daffodils open along with pussy willows, and as those quit blooming we have our summer favorites. Along with our favorite and many of our customers as well, is the sunflowers. Our gorgeous double petal, golden sunflower with dark brown centers, is so bright and cheery. Also the gladiolus with 10,000 plants the many pails full of beautiful blooms, thrills the heart! Last but not least our 20+ varieties of other blooms. What is our favorite? All of them!? Then fall comes along with the mums we planted and watched grow all summer are starting to bloom along with pumpkins ripening, piles of indian corn and gourds and as we step into our small gift shop the aroma of pumpkin spice engulfs us from the candle hand poured by Bethany here at Rose Lane known as Country Candles. Makes us all think of those dreary days in the fall to snuggle up with hot apple cider and a book.

Another exciting addition to the business is we are going to be raising poinsettias this summer for the 2021 Christmas season. ?

Here at Rose Lane our favorite motto is “ we didn’t realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun!” we all love working with flowers, chatting with our customers, and our number one priority is to have quality bouquets and happy customers.

Thou art worthy O Lord to receive glory, honor and power for Thou hast created all things and for Thy pleasure they are and were created Revelation 4:11

With humble and grateful hearts to our Heavenly Father to make this possible it is our desire to bring him glory and honor.

And also a big thank you to all our loyal customers we appreciate your business and seeing your smiling faces.

About Our Family

Steve and I were married in 2003, which makes 18 years for us in 2021. We have been blessed in so many ways. One of the riches blessings is our 9 girls ( one daughter is our angel in heaven) and 2 boys.

We have piles of fun, growing up on our organic dairy farm, with approximately 70 cows that are on lucious grass thru out the summer time, if you see the label Horizon Organic on the milk cartons you know some of the milk comes from our family farm just out side the little town of Rosebush. We also raise a few steers to sell off the farm for organic meat. We have lots of baby calves, our pony and a riding horse that the children have hours of fun with including the family pets. Fluffy and Bubbles the cats and our most beloved dogs, Genny our gorgeous golden retriever, so patient as the children romp and tumble around and over her, she is also our sons tag along. She has the sweetest personality and such a wonderful mother to her puppies. How the children adore the puppies and are always sad to see them leave for new homes.

Along with Genny is Callie her daughter a gorgeous golden retriever and a sweet personality like Genny, also Reese our blue heeler, also very spoiled and she is sure when customers come that she is the sole purpose and reason that people stop out! She does an amazing job with the cows and a huge help with the animals around the farm.

With 10 children our farm buzzes with activity all day long from planting to weeding, cutting and arranging bouquets, taking care of customers and numerous other things we are all involved. Our 5,4 and 2 year old girls love to tag along with there older siblings cutting flowers and making there own bouquets for mom! ?

As the day winds down and the shop door closes at 6. Then the time has come for the fun activities, from riding Maverick the riding horse or pony cart rides with Smokey, or a lively game of volleyball or basketball. Our all time family favorite is backyard campfire, supper grilled over the fire, and topped with roasted marshmallows, the children’s delight. Or standing in awe, observing the the gorgeous sunset. Or simply relaxing on the porch together discussing our day! And as we end our day Steve reads God’s word to the family and we pray together with much thankfulness to our Heavenly Father.

For every good and every perfect gift is from above…
